To My Best Friend, You Should Know....

To the one person who will always support me,

So, let’s start out by saying “Thank You.” Thank you for all the laughs, the jokes, and the constant companionship. Thank you for sticking around through drama, tears, breakups, and the shit show that is sometimes my life. I don’t know what exactly brought us together but there are many reasons why you stayed my best friend; you’re kind, amazing, funny, supportive (even when you probably shouldn’t be on my side) and you have been there will me through the best and the worst of times in my life and you have never left.

#1 You Are Special.

I truly have NEVER met someone as kind and big hearted as you, and you’d help anyone in a mess and you sympathize with anyone who needs your advice, and you even sometimes give it when they don’t ask for it. You’re also not afraid to state your opinion or protect your loved ones. You take things to heart and look at the world in a unique way. You appreciate the little things in life whether that’s blaring music in the drive thru, or casually walking through the mall to kill time, you don’t take life for granted.

#2 You Are Strong.

Life is difficult and sometimes sucks and I think we’ve both gotten the worst that life can hand us and whether you believe me or not, you’ve done a great job kicking life’s metaphorical ass. You’ve been through countless things, some things I don’t want to imagine, and you have always come out stronger, and better than you were before. Just know that you’re never alone and you’re “my person” and we’ve been there for each other for years and I’m not going anywhere.

#3 You Are Beautiful.

You really are so much more beautiful than you think. You’ve got a contagious smile, a calming softness that is just overwhelming, and you’re a gorgeous woman with SO much to offer the world. You are filled to the brim with love and compassion and you’re an amazing daughter, wife, and friend and an overall beautiful person.

#4 You Can Get Through ANYTHING.

I know life is handing you some lemons right now, but literally look how far you’ve come. You’ve got through way worse and you will get through it just like you always have. You will become better, stronger, and more powerful than you already are. You’re experienced in this little thing called life and I think that’s one of the reasons I love you so much and I think it makes me love you that much more. We’ve been through a lot together and you know what? We’ll get through some more together because you and I….we’ve got it handled.

#5 I’m Always Here.

Your problem is my problem and that will never change. Just keep that beautiful head held up high like I know you can. You have a ton of love in your life, between family, friends….your cat…you’ll never be without it or me, I love you tons. I’ve never had a friend like you and I’m so grateful for you every day. Whatever life throws your way, you’ll get through it and if you’re ever feeling down, I want you to come read this to remind yourself just how powerful, wonderful, strong, and amazing you are.
